RunForIt 1.0 - Variety The Children's Charity

Our inaugural event was held on Sunday the 28th March in 2021 and saw us team up with Variety - The Children's Charity. 

The crew came together on the grounds of the now infamous Howard Smith Wharves, where we heard from Tristan Condon about his childhood and the impact that Variety has had on his life.

It was a heartfelt message and you could have heard a pin drop whilst Tristan reflected upon his upbringing with Cerebral Palsy. 

The community came together to raise $2,130 for Variety whilst raising awareness for the amazing work they do for children around Australia. 

After everyone made their way toward Newstead out on their respective 5 or 10km routes, we returned for a feast hosted by Gigi's Homestyle Cooking. 

We were so grateful for such a huge showing of support at our first event and left feeling like what we were doing would continue to make a huge impact within the greater Brisbane community.
