RunForIt 9.0 - Rosies Queensland | WABI SABI

In 2023 we wanted to bring something new and exciting to the table.

We managed to secure sponsorship from Macleay Island Property Agents, Aaron Woolard at Place, The Disco Salon, Searancke Roofing, Electrik Avenue and Saucony. With this funding we were able to rebrand, acquire signage, increase donation totals and increase our overall presence. 

We also wanted to bring our artistic community together, creating a theme or talking point and asking a local designer or artist to design a piece of merchandise around that theme.  

For our first event, we teamed up with local designer Luke Burton. Luke designed a clean t-shirt that featured his interpretation of our theme (Wabi Sabi) which depicted a minimalist design and heavy Japanese influence. 

For Event 9.0, we congregated at Orleigh Park West End on  Sunday the 19th March which has proven to be a favourite within the RunForIt community. This event was our biggest and baddest yet! We teamed up with Rosies - Friends on the Street and had the lovely Lacee out to spread the word.  

Over 130 people attended the event, countless new faces, we were blown away by the support. We also managed to raise $3,270 which proved to be our biggest fundraiser to date!

Breakfast was something else as we joined the crew at one of the freshest new spots, Cordeux Social Club.
