RunForIt 11.0 - Red Nose & Sands | Balance
Our hottest and biggest event yet! We still can't believe it.
Craving something new, we took 11.0 to the track at the University of Queensland Athletics Track in support of Red Nose & SANDS, a charity extremely close to our hearts and the hearts of many in our community.
Red Nose & SANDS, companies which merged in November 2020, work to prevent babies and young children from dying suddenly and unexpectedly during pregnancy, infancy, and early childhood. They offer support services to families following the death of a baby or child and their support is absolutely vital during one of the most tragic experiences a family can go through.
11.0 was supported by local Meanjin artist Jess Sellinger, who brought the theme of 'Balance' to the table and designed an epic running hat in collaboration with the team at Fractel.
After starting on the track and running, walking and rolling along the riverside and parklands surrounding the UQ campus, the team headed to Saint Lucy Caffe e Cucina for more chats, coffee and of course a delicious feast!
Blown away by the generosity of our community, we managed to raise $6,257 for Red Nose & SANDS, breaking our fundraising record completely out of the water.
